Our Alpacas are really looking forward to Christmas this year they love to dress up as Reindeer & entertain the children & adults on our festive Christmas Walks. The walks are 30 minutes through the amazing (possibly snowy) landscape here at Oakmere alpacas.

This year we have added a Christmas Party after your 30 minute walk with your very own Alpaca & our Elf guides to make sure everyone has a good time. The parties take place in our brand new Tipi and include lots of yummy food and cakes and kids DJ (TBC).

No alpacas allowed in the Tipi so don’t sneak one in.

Only 1 Under 10 per Adult aged 18+

Please Note: Every paying ticket holder attending the experience must walk with an alpaca, this includes all ages and abilities. We cannot allow spectators on the experience.

When bringing children Under 5, adults must feel confident that their child can walk the whole distance or that they can carry their child from start to finish. For very young children, we would advise bringing a sling or baby carrier, we cannot authorise pushchairs on the walks (see accessibility section).

Wristbands – Upon arrival, you will need to sign in at the Alpaca House, where you will receive a wristband, colour coded to your experience. Every attendee will receive a wristband which must be worn throughout the experience.

Please Note: Loss, damage or failure to present a wristband will unfortunately mean that you cannot take part in your experience.

Accessibility – The walks will be trekking through fields that maybe rough, bumpy or muddy. We cannot authorise wheelchairs, pushchairs or walking aids on the walks for these reasons.

No Shows – Failure to cancel bookings which result in a no show will mean the booking is lost and no refund can be given.

Lateness – The experience begins with a 15 minute health and safety talk followed by the alpaca walk, this is a group activity and our guides will begin the walk on time, once all visitors have been handed an alpaca and leave the pen any latecomers will be unable to join the walk and no refund will be given. Please plan your journey and allow for traffic as refusal to join the experience tends to offend.

Refunds, Cancellations and Rescheduling – Minimum 48 hours (2 working days) notice from selected walk date.

Photography – During the walk we take photographs and these are then published on our Facebook page to give you the opportunity to see your experience with us at no extra charge. By booking with us we will trust this is accepted by you and all party members unless a member of staff is notified on the day prior to the walk or you contact us in advance.

Accidents – Accidents do happen, albeit very rarely. We give an extensive health and safety briefing prior to your experience and you should follow the instructions given. We cannot accept responsibility for any accidents or injuries that occur on our farm.

Physical Activity – The walk is over grassy/sandy tracks & paths. There are some hills to tackle, the pace is rather slow as Alpacas like to look around & take in their surroundings. The walks are not suitable for people with walking difficulties or very young children.

Amount of Alpacas on my walk – Alpacas are a herd animal so a minimum of 2 animals.

Weather – Our walks run whether rain or shine, sleet or snow so please dress according to weather forecasts and be prepared for our temperamental British weather!

Vouchers – Terms are applicable to bookings purchased directly. 3rd party purchases may have additional terms which will be on vouchers.

Experience Numbers – All experiences require a minimum number of attendees. If this minimum number is not met we reserve the right to reschedule your booking to the next available slot.
